Join us for Trick-or-Treat Trail this Saturday, Oct. 24, 10 a.m. – 2 p.m.! Stop by booths to trick-or-treat for candy, walk through the Halloween StoryWalk® Trail in your best costumes, and enjoy other fun activities, a food truck, wonder-fall decorations, and a free book for each child!

It will be on the Rustburg Village Trail, which is behind the Citizen Services building off Carden Lane. Parking will be available in the Citizen Services and Social Services parking lots. This event is for children, teens, and families.

Only two Storytime Picnic events left this fall! We’ll be at the Timbrook Park Pavilion this Thursday and next Thursday, Oct. 22 and Oct. 29, where we will read a selected book on and off throughout the event, do themed crafts, and play yard games. Stop by anytime between 11 a.m. and 1 p.m., bring a snack (optional), and enjoy the day! Geared toward ages 0 – 5 and their families.

Coming up soon! Our 7th annual Holiday Market at the Campbell County Historic Courthouse in Rustburg will be on Friday, Nov. 6, 4 – 7 p.m.! Enjoy a cozy evening outdoors filled with white lights, craft vendors, music, food, and holiday spirit. This event will feature local vendors that sell unique handmade or homemade items that would make great decorations and/or gifts for the holidays.

The Holiday Market is in partnership with the Campbell County Historical Society and the Campbell County Public Library Foundation. The Historic Courthouse is at 774 Village Highway, Rustburg. The rain date for this event will be Sunday, Nov. 8.

These free storytimes involve board books, songs, and rhymes that help babies with language acquisition and pre-literacy skills. This is a great opportunity to read, play, and have fun together! Storytime will return next week and will continue through Nov. 12. At these events, we have story readings at the beginning, and these may include books, songs, rhymes, scarves, and more. Craft and play stations will be available after the reading. Storytime is geared for ages 3 – 5, and the whole family is welcome, too. No registration is required for these free events.
