Free Seven Hills Chamber Music event this Wednesday

Join us for a free musical event presented by Seven Hills Chamber Music this Wednesday, Aug. 19, 11 a.m. – 12 p.m. at Timbrook Library (Lower Level). New York-based musicians and local Lynchburg musicians have combined to create high-quality concerts over two weeks in August. This is a hands-on education experience for all ages that reaches into the heart of the music and arts process. Come see behind the veil of the concert musician and how they explore their craft to uncover the inner truths of music through play.

Storytime Picnic returns this Thursday! Join us at the Timbrook Park Pavilion each Thursday, Aug. 20 – Oct. 29. We will read the selected book on and off throughout the event, do themed crafts, and play yard games. Bring a snack (optional) and enjoy the day! Babygarten Summer Session II starts this week and will run through Sept. 10 (no classes on Monday, Sept. 7). Babygarten storytimes involve board books, songs, and rhymes that help babies with language acquisition and pre-literacy skills. This is a great opportunity to read, play, and have fun together! These free storytimes are open to children ages 0 – 23 months and their caregivers. Registration through CivicRec is required and is now open.
