Join us in Rustburg this Saturday, July 25, to celebrate our community and how much we read this summer! We are hosting the Summer Reading Grand Finale Street Fair from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. There will be food trucks, 60+ vendors, kids’ activities, giveaways, and much more! The majority of the event will be outside in the County Complex around the Campbell County Public Library in Rustburg, but activities will also be inside the library and Historic Courthouse. This annual event is for the whole family, and everyone is welcome, even if you didn’t participate in this year’s Summer Reading Program. Free entry.

Jigsaw, crossword, logic, and more? Enjoy a morning of puzzles galore! Grab the grandkids and swing by to work a wide range of puzzles. This is a Living Life Well Program, but all ages are welcome to enjoy together!

Come learn more about Wyatt Golden’s research and new book on Colonel Charles Lynch, Campbell County’s forgotten Revolutionary War hero. Bring your phone and join us to learn how to tame your smartphone with a few skills you can use daily. We will be focusing on how to send emails, attach files, take screenshots, and manage your storage.

Coming soon! CCPLS, in partnership with Altavista On Track, presents the 7th annual Altavista Block Party to celebrate back to school. Everyone from across Campbell County is invited to this event at the Staunton River Memorial Library in Altavista on Friday, Aug. 14, 4 – 7 p.m.

 

Meet up with friends; enjoy face paint, a food truck, and outdoor games; make memories with your family; and dance to some music! Free door prizes will be available. Be sure to say “hi” to our wonderful Altavista community partners. The Altavista Milk & Cookies event will be happening at the same time.
